Forest Bathing: Ethics, Boundaries & Managing Burnout
Forest Bathing: Ethics, Boundaries & Managing Burnout
A Stand-Alone Camp Dreamspace Course | Orcas Island
4 Continuing Education Hours
You’re invited to join us at Camp Dreamspace for a special Day One experience exploring professional ethics, healthy boundaries, burnout prevention, and the restorative benefits of time in nature.
You do not need to be registered for Camp Dreamspace to attend this course. This stand-alone course is open to Orcas Island residents, massage therapists, bodyworkers, wellness professionals, caregivers, and others interested in exploring healthier boundaries and more sustainable approaches to helping work.
Rather than spending four hours talking about self-care inside a classroom, we’ll experience some of it together.
Our time will include guided forest bathing practices outdoors on the beautiful grounds of Camp Orkila, balanced with opportunities to come indoors, warm up, enjoy a cup of tea, participate in discussion and reflection, and relax together in Alumni House.
Yes, it’s November on Orcas Island—and we’ve planned for that! Participants should dress for the season and come prepared to spend portions of our time outdoors, but this is not an endurance activity. Our intention is to create a comfortable, unhurried experience that allows us to appreciate the forest in late fall while also enjoying the warmth and hospitality of our indoor gathering space.
Through guided practice, conversation, and reflection, we’ll explore how boundaries, professional responsibility, stress, and burnout show up in helping professions—and how reconnecting with ourselves can help us recognize when something needs to change.
Massage therapists may earn 4 continuing education hours in Ethics.
After our afternoon together, you’ll have time to warm up, enjoy tea, and settle into Alumni House before dinner.
Come experience a little of what makes Camp Dreamspace special—without having to register for the full retreat.
Stand-alone registration includes the Forest Bathing Ethics & Boundaries course only and does not require Camp Dreamspace registration.
Location: Camp Orkila, Orcas Island, Eastsound, WA
Time: 2:00 pm to 6:00pm
*10 seats available
