ForestTherapy for Massage Therapists: A Self-Care Experience (4 CE Hours)
Instructor: Essie Hicks
As massage therapists, we dedicate ourselves to the healing of others—often leaving little time to refill our own wells of energy and balance. This unique 4-hour continuing education experience blends professional renewal with deep personal care, through the restorative practice of forest bathing (shinrin-yoku).
Guided by Essie Hicks, MPA, LMT, C-MLD, an award-winning practitioner and instructor with decades of experience teaching massage and bodywork, and a certified forest bathing guide, this event is designed for you. In the quiet embrace of the forest, you’ll be guided through mindful practices that heighten sensory awareness, calm the nervous system, and restore resilience.
This experience is not about technique or treatment—it’s about reconnecting with nature, honoring your own wellness, and learning practical tools to bring a deeper sense of grounded presence into your massage practice.
What you’ll gain:
4 CE hours of Self-Care credit
Gentle, guided forest bathing practices to reduce stress and restore vitality
A nurturing mini wellness retreat designed specifically for massage therapists
New inspiration and presence to bring back to your clients and your practice
